HandyMack uses a small set of cookies and similar technologies: analytics to see how people find the site, and the tools that run our chat assistant.
Plain-English Summary
HandyMack does not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site ad targeting. We do use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the site, and our website runs a chat assistant that stores a small amount of data in your browser.
1. What Cookies Are
Cookies are small files that a website can place on your device. Some cookies are needed for a site to work correctly. Others can be used for analytics, ads, or tracking across websites.
Browsers also offer similar storage, such as local storage and session storage. This policy covers those too, because they serve the same purpose.
2. Cookies and Storage We Use
Analytics: we use Google Analytics 4, which sets first-party cookies beginning with _ga. These tell us how many people visit, which pages they read, and how they arrived. IP anonymization is turned on. We use this to decide what to write and which services to explain better.
Chat assistant: on most pages, HandyMack’s AI receptionist loads from stridevoice.com. It may store data in your browser so a conversation survives a page change. It is not loaded on our quote or booking pages.
Campaign attribution: if you arrive from a link with campaign tags, the site stores those tags in your browser’s session storage so we know which ad or post brought you. Session storage is cleared when you close the tab.
Security: our hosting and CDN provider, Cloudflare, may set a strictly necessary cookie to tell real visitors apart from automated traffic.
3. Cookies We Do Not Use
HandyMack does not use:
- Third-party advertising cookies.
- Cross-site ad targeting cookies.
- Cookies that sell or share your information with advertisers.
4. Managing Cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and most browsers offer a “do not track” or tracking-protection setting. Blocking analytics cookies does not affect your ability to read the site, request a quote, or book a visit.
You can also opt out of Google Analytics across all sites using Google’s browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
